Abstract
A shot peening machine, specially designed and built by Matrasur, the French arm of Slough‐based Vacu‐Blast and part of the multinational BTR group, has been installed at SNECMA's Gennevilliers plant near Paris, where casting, forging and mechanical engineering of components is undertaken for the CFM56 and CF6 families of turbofan aeroengines. These are produced by the company in co‐operation with General Electric of the USA.
