Rolls‐Royce Cuts Machining Operations

Abstract

Three large five‐axis CNC machining centres from Scharmann Machine Ltd., Sheldon, Birmingham, have enabled Rolls‐Royce at their Parkside works in Coventry to reduce its numbers of machining operations on a variety of large aero engine components, and make significant savings on the investment in complex fixtures.
