Abstract

An airfield surface movement indication radar has been designed to provide daylight viewing displays for reproducing the PPI picture at any desired number of remote positions. The brightness of each display can be varied to suit the prevailing light level without reducing the quality of the radar picture, enabling it to be viewed without a hood in the brightest conditions of any visual control room.
