Ear‐to‐ground
Abstract
The world's first operational two‐seat V/S.T.O.L. jet, the Harrier T.2, made a successful first Might from Hawker Siddeley Aviation's Dunsfold airfield on April 24, 1969. The pilot was Mr Hugh Merewether, Chief Test Pilot at Dunsfold, and the flight lasted 55 minutes.
