Abstract

DURING the production of aircraft, it is essential, perhaps more than in any other industry, for the identity of each component to be known at all stages of manufacture. This requirement is not easy to achieve but with the introduction by Lectroetch (Great Britain) Ltd. of a wide range of equipment for electrolytically marking components, most of the difficulties have been overcome.
