Ear‐to‐ground

Abstract

The Hawker Siddeley 801 is the world's first four jet maritime reconnaissance aircraft. It is currently on order for service with R.A.F. Coastal Command. Powered by four Rolls‐Royce Spey bypass engines, the aircraft is equipped with specialized search and navigational equipment for its maritime duties.
