Pressure Cabin Analysis: An Extension to Existing Theory

Abstract

An extension is made to the theory on which most aircraft pressure cabins are designed. In the existing theory the effect of the curvature of the deformed cylinder is neglected. This paper examines the manner in which this effect influences the stress distribution.
