Stress Diffusion Problems

Abstract

IN this section we investigate various accurate solutions of the problem of the reinforced panel by using the stress‐function. We are then able to form an idea of the accuracy of the “stringer‐sheet” solution and of the conditions which must be satisfied in order that it may be reasonably accurate for practical purposes.
