The Industrial Library & the Information Network
Abstract
Much of the success of industrial libraries stems from their ability to tap outside resources and their knowledge of other library networks. An enormous amount of “free floating goodwill” can be found in the library community and should not be ignored in favour of high technology. Local co‐operation schemes (involving all libraries within a geographical area), social networks, government sources of information and the British Library are examined as providers of information.
