UNIT TRUST: COUSIN TO MUTUAL FUNDS

Abstract

Students of this column who have mastered the basics of stocks, bonds, municipals, mutual funds and annuities can now turn to another Wall Street hybrid, The Unit Investment Trust. This product, which has generally been limited to municipal bonds, is an interesting alternative to a bond mutual fund.
