ORACLE MEDIA SERVER

Abstract

An early glimpse of life on the ‘information superhighway’ that US and other political leaders are promising is provided by a series of announcements from Oracle Corporation in January and February. These centre around the Oracle Media Server (OMS), claimed to be the first software platform capable of online delivery of multimedia information and entertainment at general public consumer‐level prices.
