Corrosion Commentary

Abstract

BNF looks for thicker coating on galvanised wire. For many applications, it is desirable to have a thin coating of zinc on galvanised wire. However, a thicker coating could appreciably improve the resistance to corrosion of the great cables of suspension bridges and of other galvanised products subject to long‐term service outdoors.
