Abstract

Galvanisers attack mechanical plating substitution. Concerned at the increasing incidence, over recent months, of inspecting authorities rejecting mechanically plated fasteners not conforming to hot dip galvanised specification BS 729, the Galvanisers Association has warned nut and bolt distributors to beware of unwittingly supplying mechanically‐plated fasteners against orders for fasteners specified to be hot dip galvanised.
