Continuous coating of metal strip: a new process for the application of paints, plastics and metallic powders

Abstract

HEAD WRIGHTSON LTD. have conducted research into the coating of metal strip with paints, plastics and metallic powders at their Research & Development Division at Thornaby‐on‐Tees. A prototype painting line has been developed to coat metal strip with paints and plastics. The process of applying metallic finishes is still under development.
