THE RT. HON. HAROLD WILSON, M.P., O.B.E., P.C. On opening the CORROSION AND METAL FINISHING EXHIBITION
Abstract
THIS Exhibition is only five years old. Its growth in coverage from the first exhibition in the Royal Horticultural Hall is measured by the fact that floor space occupied here at Olympia is five times that occupied in 1957, and the range and qualitative coverage, not least because of the speed of new developments in the anti‐corrosion and metal finishing field, has increased in like proportion. The number of exhibitors represented today, from industrial firms to government departments and the range of contributions to the four days of technical meetings, show the wide realisation of the extent of this problem for British industry and the scope of the attack being made upon it.
