DETECTING AND MEASURING CORROSION: Using Electrical Resistance Techniques
Abstract
The potential applications of the electrical resistance method for in situ detection and measurement of corrosion in industry are considerable. Instrumentation and sensors for this work are herein described in some detail and briefly described is the development of thin metal film corrosion indicators which can detect as little as one millionth of an inch metal loss. Other special probes for marine environments are discussed.
