KEITH HARRIS: PRINCIPLES OF POLYTECHNIC LIBRARIANSHIP

Abstract

Keith Harris, Librarian of Newcastle Polytechnic, died at the age of 60 on 18 February, 1983. There have since been many personal tributes to this outstanding colleague. At the invitation of LR James Thompson, a friend for more than 30 years, here assesses his professional contribution, as represented in his writings.
