Abstract

Statistical Analysis of the Workplace Facts and Trends The United States has always proudly proclaimed its place in the world as the “melting pot of all free nations”. This is true, as our nation was founded by groups of people from many diverse and different lands. In light of this initial and diverse population, the demographics of our nation have gradually shifted toward more of a universal mix of all nations. Today Blacks, Asians, and Hispanics make up 21% of the American population. More than half of the United States work force now consists of minorities, immigrants, and women. Two‐thirds of all global migration is into the United States. Sometime in the next century, whites will become the minority in the population of the United States [1,p.52].
