Women Entrepreneurs — what is the extra quality they need to succeed: a personal reflection
Abstract
The emphasis of the woman entrepreneur is opportunity‐orientated, whereas the normal management education of men and women makes them problem‐orientated. As no business can survive merely by the solution of problems, the issue of monitoring needs to be addressed. Many women managers have their development blocked through lacking a role model or mentor. The whole area of women's development is one which generates new data, new processes, new results and even new attitudes each year; structured advice must be part of development and thus encourage enterprising women to be part of the solution to Britain's current business ills.
