Sensing down on the farm

Abstract

Publication last month by the Agricultural Research Council of a report dealing with future needs for sensors highlights the need and opportunities for exchange of ideas and experience between groups who do not regularly work together. Jack Hollingum met Owain Harries and Mike Street of the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering to learn about applications of sensing in the field and milking parlour.
