Setting a trend in surface‐mount testing

Abstract

OF all the problems associated with electronic assembly, and surface‐mount in particular, none can claim to be more intractable, and consequently, overlooked or ignored, than testing. Until recently, manufacturers were content to do some relatively perfunctory testing — often merely in‐circuit and hope that there were no problems.
