Abstract

A large part, if not most, of a firm's external training takes place in a college of further education. The South East Scotland branch of the IPM recently surveyed the attitudes of employers and students to such colleges to determine how they are fulfilling their role of providing a training service to firms and to individuals. Thirty six firms and one hundred and ninety one students participated in the survey.
