Managing Human Resources—Implications for Training Policies
Abstract
In recent years the task of managing human resources has become increasingly complex and demanding. Areas such as equal employment opportunities, employment protection, industrial relations, health and safety regulations and manpower planning in a highly unstable economy imposed new responsibilities on those who manage human resources. Consequently, personnel activities have become one of the central concerns of the organisation, subject to pressures from government, employees, trade unions, employers' associations and society at large.
