Invotec Group; Telford Factory receives AS9100 Rev C quality management standard
Article Type: Industry news From: Circuit World, Volume 38, Issue 3
AS9100 standard is designed to meet stringent, complex and unique demands of the defence and commercial aerospace industry. Similar to ISO 9001:2000, with nearly 100 additional requirements specific to aerospace, it provides organisations with a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) focused on areas directly impacting product safety and reliability.
“Our Telford site is well known for its excellent service and very competitive cost base for European manufacturing of multilayer PCBs. The achievement of AS9100 at Telford reinforces Invotec’s standing to support not only defence and aerospace segments but demonstrates our on-going commitment to deliver quality products and customer satisfaction to all our customers”, stated Viv Amos, Operations Manager. “The hard work and commitment of all staff made this possible and I am very proud of the team”.
This achievement follows on from the successful upgrade of the Invotec Tamworth facility to AS9100 Rev C (including flex and flex-rigid) and NADCAP approval to incorporate HDI and flex-rigid in 2011.
Invotec is the largest manufacturer of PCBs, in the UK. The Group consists of complimentary facilities in Tamworth and Telford, and is Europe’s leading specialist PCB manufacturer for the defence and aerospace industries. Invotec manufactures highly complex products, principally multilayer rigid, HDI and flex-rigid PCBs.
