Rex Rozario (Plate 3), chairman of Graphic Plc has recently been awarded the OBE by Her Majesty The Queen for services to the electronics industry. Rex has devoted his entire career to the printed circuit board industry. Born in Ceylon, he came to the UK in 1954 where he settled, graduated in electronics and established the company Graphic Plc in 1967.
Initially a technician at The Telegraph Condenser Company Ltd, he met Paul Eisler, the inventor of the printed circuit board. Guided by Paul Eisler, Rex became the fledgling expert of flush bonding techniques. He further developed a plated through hole (PTH) capability in 1956.

Rex is a board member of the Federation of the Electronics Industry (FEI), Printed Circuit Interconnect Federation (PCIF), PROSPER and Gateway Partnership. He is a member of The Air League, Parliamentary Aerospace Group, the Exeter and Heart of Devon Economic Partnership and the Exeter University Business Forum. Rex is a governor of East Devon College and sits on various local business committees such as Exeter Business Forum and Business Rate Consultative Committee and is currently Chairman of the Mid Devon Enterprise Agency. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Institute of Circuit Technology, Institute of Sales and Marketing Management and a member of the Crediton Rotary Club.
His Company Graphic Plc is a world leader in micro via high-density interconnection technology, supplying specialist printed circuits to aerospace and defence, telecommunications and other industries from Formula One and mobile phones to the Euro fighter.
Rex Rozario is the current Lord of Bickleigh and lives with his family in a village on the outskirts of Crediton. The title was conveyed to him from Sir Rivers Carew, who's ancestors resided at Bickleigh Castle in the time of Henry III.
