Knight joined Speedboard in July 1997 as internal sales engineer. At the start of 1998, he accepted the field sales manager brief to grow the company's expanding fabrication services in parallel with a comprehensive investment programme in new plant and premises. Knight's knowledge of Speedboard pre-dates his employment with the company. His previous roles include customer and supplier positions at AT&T (now Lucent) and Surtech respectively.
