LEO Again Named Tops in Taiwan

In 1996 the International Data Corporation (IDC) declared FIC the winner in Taiwan's desktop system race, with the largest market share. In a report released by IDC, FIC's desktop systems, sold under LEO Systems Inc., has maintained its top position in the highly competitive climate of the Taiwan IT industry. IDC's findings were based on total market share held by each company, the reported market share was measured by units shipped by each vendor per year. This data indicated LEO Systems Inc. captured a 17.5 per cent market share, beating such tough local competition as Acer and Mitac.
