Nacelle and thrust reverser service for A320 Fleet
Nacelle and thrust reverser service for A320 Fleet
TAM, Brazil's largest airline, has selected Goodrich Corporation to supply a nacelle and thrust reverser repair service program for its entire fleet of A320 aircraft. Under the current memorandum of understanding, Goodrich plans to establish its first ever presence in Sao Carlos, Brazil to perform the service work.
Goodrich anticipates opening a certified repair station in Sao Carlos later this year. The planned 30,000- square-foot facility will initially require 20-30 employees. The specialised technicians on-site will focus on repairing IAE/V2500-A5 engine inlets, fan cowls, and thrust reversers. Longer term, capabilities to repair the same components for CFM56-5B and the CF680E1 engine nacelle systems are also expected to be established.
