Cranfield University joins Boeing Education Alliance
Cranfield University joins Boeing Education Alliance
Cranfield University, the leading UK aerospace university, has been welcomed as the first non-US university to join the Boeing Education Alliance.
The alliance teams with the Boeing Learning Together Program to provide tuition cost savings. Through the program, eligible employees choose a course of study and Boeing pays tuition, books and other required expenses for classes successfully completed at accredited schools.
Cranfield University Aerospace is unique in its ability to offer multi- disciplinary capabilities in areas of strategic importance to the aviation sector. The newly formed alliance between Cranfield University and Boeing marks an important step in the developing strategic relationship. In the short-term, the relationship will provide clear visibility of Cranfield's pan-university capabilities and respond to Boeing's requirements with tailored responses delivered to industry standards. In the long-term, this relationship will address complex industry challenges and realise new market opportunities by creating and implementing innovative solutions.
Under the alliance, Cranfield will also allow for Boeing's participation in a highly international student community and support Boeing's developing global education network by leveraging Cranfield's global academic network and aligning courses with Boeing's training and development needs.
James Angus, Sector Development Executive at Cranfield University comments, “We're really very proud that Cranfield is the first non-US university to join this prestigious alliance and feel it goes even further in confirming Cranfield's global reputation in aerospace.”
Rick Stephens, Boeing senior vice president for Human Resources and Administration said “We are very excited to have a high-calibre university such as Cranfield join the education alliance because it has been a valued partner in providing some of our engineers with a broad range of courses related to aviation and aerospace.”
