Building on its success in supplying systems to the UK Ministry of Defence, Aerosystems International (Ael), has secured tactical data link contracts with Greece, Norway, the NATO Council.
In Greece, Ael is supplying AGILE, a sophisticated data link testing software package, to ISI Hellas in support of the new Airborne Early Warning programme for the EMB-145 AEW&C aircraft. AGILE, Ael's Generic Interface Link Emulator, is a complete test and development tool enabling the client to develop Link 16 scenarios within an emulated multifunctional interface distribution system (MIDS) network.
For, Norway Ael will deliver its JTIDS portable capability (JPC) solution to operate as a ground station for testing and monitoring of JTIDS Network for F16 fighters and NATO will operate JPC from a mobile data link van, during exercises.
JPC provides a comprehensive network monitoring and management suite. It also hosts a detailed situational awareness display, data reduction and analysis tool, alerts package and complete mission recording and replay facility. JPC is a man-portable system consisting of a number of ruggedised crates. In the basic configuration it consists of a terminal crate and network management unit.
In addition, Norway has ordered LION, Ael's Link Interoperability Network. LION enables interoperability tests to be conducted between geographically separated data link equipped integration rigs, through ISDN lines. This avoids the restrictions imposed by the use of live radio transmissions.
