Separable cord connecting structure for a parachute

Separable cord connecting structure for a parachuteKeywords: Fujikura Parachute Company, Patents

In GB Patent 2340462 Fujikura Parachute Company Ltd describes a separable cord connection structure of a parachute. It includes a separable cord for anchoring to an aeroplane directly or via a static line, a main line unreleasably fastened to the canopy top of the parachute, and connected via a deployment bag for receiving the parachute or the canopy thereof in a packed condition. The separable cord defines two loops and two further intersecting coupling loops are formed across an upper end of the deployment bag. A rigid pin passes through the loops and between the loops and also through a guide ring. One end of the pin temporarily fastened to the separable cord by a hand tack and the other end is connected to the main line. This structure avoids the loops and the main line getting entangled.
