Pascall Electronics, a member of the Intelek group of companies, announces that Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Christopher Bland, has presented it with the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2000, the highest honour which can be bestowed on a UK company. The presentation took place at the flagship facility of Pascall in Ryde, on the Isle of Wight.
To qualify for the award, companies must meet rigorous assessment criteria to prove that they have obtained "A substantial and sustained increase in export earnings to a level which is outstanding for the products or services concerned and for the size of the applicant unit's operations". In the case of Pascall, exports have quadrupled over the last three years.
The strong export growth of Pascall has been generated through sales of specialist electronic equipment for the avionics and satellite communications markets. Key contributors to this success include high specification power supplies for in-flight entertainment systems and carrier monitoring equipment used at over 450 satellite earth stations worldwide.
