Airtel ATN, the independent Irish software developer and supplier of data communications solutions, has strengthened its team in Ireland with a number of key management appointments. Kevin Jones has been appointed to the position of CEO and will focus on the future growth of the company. Jones has over 30 years business experience. As former general manager of Oracle Corporation Ireland, he brought the company from a green field situation to being a leading player in the Irish software sector. Prior to this, he held management and senior project leader roles in a variety of other companies, both Irish and International, including Aer Lingus where he worked for 15 years.
Graham Harris has been appointed to the new position of VP Engineering Services. Harris has over 15 years experience in the software industry. Formerly with ISOCOR, a US based Electronic Messaging company, he initially managed a number of prestigious high profile projects. Later he was appointed divisional manager with responsibility for all aspects of Professional Services.
In addition, the Dublin based company has consolidated the original management structure with a number of strategic appointments. Dr Norman Stewart, former managing director of the Irish company will take up the position of VP research and development. Frank O'Connor, former operations director will take up the position as VP of marketing and Joe McGoldrick moves to the new position of VP technology. The other members of the management team are Aidan O'Byrne, chief financial officer and Jim Attley, VP sales.
