Simonds' air-powered tools for electronic applications are said to provide ergonomic solutions to repetitive manual cutting, crimping, bending, and component lead preparation and processing. Featuring pneumatic power packs that can be equipped with specialized jaw-sets, they include a shear action cable cutter, a universal crimp tool, PC board cutter, and component lead processors with multiple die sets for different connectors and terminals.
Replacing manual hand squeezing with air-power to improve worker safety and productivity, Simonds' air-powered tools for electronic applications are available with thrust capacities up to 2,268kg and specialized cut and crimp jaw-sets, cut and bend types, Dyke types and other jaws for use with ribbon and stranded wires. Component lead processors can handle ICs, LEDs, transistors, capacitors, and numerous other devices.
