Three major new software products from Fourth Shift were presented for the first time in Europe at the recent Computers in Manufacturing exhibition (CIM'98).
The three new products are: a Microsoft SQL Server database version of the Fourth Shift MSS for OBJECTS ERP software suite; MSS Connect, a facility that will link one or many of the company's manufacturing management systems to larger ERP resources, such as Baan, Oracle, SAP or similar corporate systems; and WebPartner, which allows manufacturers to set up an interactive customer service site on the World Wide Web, designed to enhance supply chain management.
"These three new products demonstrate the aim of Fourth Shift to provide technology which will facilitate business for growing as well as larger, corporate-scale organisations. In partnership with Microsoft, the products will contribute to the vision of wholly integrated, simplified supply chain management systems at an affordable cost," says John Wolfenden, managing director of Fourth Shift Europe.
