Surface prep workshop to be held at mega rust
A workshop titled “Surface Preparation – The Latest Developments” will be held during the Mega Rust 2007 Coatings & Corrosion Conference on June 4, 2007, 1:00-5:00 p.m. at The Town and Country Resort and Convention Center, San Diego, CA. The workshop is sponsored by the Advisory Council and Mega Rust and will be led by instructor Dr Lydia Frenzel, chair of SSPC/NACE waterjetting and water-abrasive committees. Engineers, specifiers, and water jetters are among the intended audience for the event.
The workshop will focus on surface preparation standards for water jetting, water blasting, wet abrasive blasting, flash rust, and salts. The topics of economics, substrate profile, flash rust, salts, water additives, appearance, worker training and safety, and environmental solutions will be integrated into the discussion.
