"Coatings Direct" – an innovative Internet- enabled program – enables coatings professionals around the world to "attend" important technical seminars without leaving your home or office.
Coatings Direct offers full flexibility in course scheduling and location. Presentations at major industry events are digitally recorded, and offered individually or as a complete package to course "subscribers". While viewing course materials individually on their computer screens or as part of a group using a projection screen, participants can listen to the course instructor via audio streaming over the Internet.
Participation in Coatings Direct is through a 30-day subscription, based on site, not individual, usage. For only one registration fee, there are no restrictions on the number of employees who can participate in the program over the subscription period.
With Coatings Direct, a unique feature has been added to provide interaction via Discussion Forums. These forums enable participants and course instructors to hold virtual discussions around specific topics. Through the Discussion Forums, you will benefit not only from the expertise of the instructors, but also from the insights of industry colleagues around the world. Access to the Discussion Forums is available for the entire subscription period.
For its first Coatings Direct program, FSCT is offering five sessions that were presented at the popular Midyear Symposium's Advanced Topics Workshop, "Waterborne Coatings: Meeting the Challenges," held in May 2002. Titles and course instructors featured are:
- •
Challenges in Waterborne Coatings (Jamil Baghdachi, Eastern Michigan University).
- •
Waterborne Resin Technology (Frederick H. Walker, Air Products and Chemical, Inc.).
- •
Film Formation (Cheng-Le Zhao, BASF).
- •
Rheology and Rheology Modifiers (Ray Fernando, Cal Poly State University).
- •
Waterborne Coatings: Formulation Dissection (Ray Fernando, Cal Poly State University).
Registration is available for each session or the entire workshop (all presentations).
