Du Pont has relaunched the Web site on its DBE Dibasic Ester business. Under the address http://www.dbe.dupont.com/ visitors to the site will find information on the complete product range, as well as different application case studies around the environmentally friendly and readily biodegradable solvent. News, publications and a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ) complete the multilingual offering.
The "Products" section explains how the different forms of DBE are made up of combinations of the methylesters of glutaric, adipic and succinic acids, all of which are present in nature, and what properties they have. In-depth information can be accessed upon registration: for example, detailed data on the content, physical properties and compatibility of DBE with different plastics.
Under the title "Applications", a short description of diverse end-uses of DBE can be found. This includes paints and coatings, cleaning, paint stripping, foundry core binder, recycling solvent, solvent for oil field chemicals, carrier solvents for crop protection products and adhesives, to name just a few. A registered visitor can delve deeper into the individual applications.
Numerous publications, in different languages, can be downloaded as pdf or Word-format files, while those who still have questions on DBE can contact Du Pont directly via e-mail.
