Plastic pipe systems manufacturer Durapipe - S&LP reports that it is now offering an extended range of polypropylene short spigot fittings for butt fusion in sizes 20-800mm, to complement its existing range of socket fusion and electrofusion jointed polypropylene fittings (Plate 8).

The short spigot butt fusion range includes equal tees, bends, reducers, adaptors, socket unions and flanges with pressure ratings of PN10, PN6 and PN3.2. Pipe with PN10, PN6 and PN2.5 pressure rating is also available.
Polypropylene claims excellent chemical resistance and a wide operational temperature range of 0 to 100°C, making it particularly suitable for applications in chemical and pharmaceutical plants, breweries and distillers, electronics and nuclear plant.
