Sandvik Steel UK has supplied its Sandvik Calamo high purity stainless steel tubes and fittings to Lee Vacuum Services Ltd in a joint venture to provide fast response delivery to the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical and food manufacturing industries.
Aimed primarily at providing stock availability to semiconductor producers in Silicon Glen, Lee Vacuum Services Ltd, based in Motherwell, is believed to be the only such facility in Scotland. The Sandvik Calamo tubes and fittings for high purity gas and liquid systems are being held in a range of sizes and specifications.
Available for new plant build, refurbishment or repair applications, product and surface types include the highest specification PQE electropolished and cleaned tubes with guaranteed surface smoothness, packed in a clean room environment to CQ products, cleaned and packed in a normal environment (Plate 6).
