N. Natesan is at the Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India.

S. Palraj is a scientist at the Corrosion Testing Centre, CECRI Unit, Mandapam Camp, India. He holds an MSc in Chemistry and specialises in corrosion science and fouling. Mr Palraj has been involved in research for 17 years and has published more than 20 journal papers.

M.A. Quraishi is a Reader at the Department of Applied Chemistry, AMU, Aligarh, India. He has more than 25 years' teaching experience and has supervised PhD theses on corrosion prevention in acid and neutral media. He has published over 40 research papers in national and international journals and attended many conferences.

P. Rajendran is at the Department of Applied Chemistry, Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

P.A. Saini is Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, AMU, Aligarh, India. He has published more than 20 research papers in various journals. He specialises in solid waste management and disposal.

A. Subramanian is at the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India.

G. Subramanian is the Scientist in Charge at the Corrosion Testing Centre, CECRI Unit, Mandapam Camp, India. He holds a PhD in corrosion and fouling and has published more than 30 related papers.
