Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd has announced the immediate availability of FactoryLink 7.2 – a flexible software solution for industrial human machine interfaces (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
Developed by USDATA Corporation prior to its acquisition by Tecnomatix, FactoryLink 7.2 offers a rich new set of enhancements that allow faster and easier application building, including the following.

New application set-up wizard that empowers developers to obtain applications up and running quickly and easily.

Rich new application templates that facilitate rapid building of new applications.
- •
A custom template capability that allows developers to create custom templates for use with the application set-up wizard.
- •
Easier-to-use configuration environment for client-side trending, alarms, and database browser ActiveX controls.
- •
Easier FDA 21CFR Part 11 validation of applications through automatic logging of all tag changes initiated by users or automated clients.
- •
Support for arrays of tags in the popular branching functionality introduced in FactoryLink 7.1.
- •
Improved quality of service when using unreliable networks prevalent in many harsh industrial environments through the addition of several OLE for process control (OPC) server optimizations.
- •
Native support for the industry-standard VT_ARRAY data type as defined in the OPC specification.
