Schneider Electric has introduced a module for the Tego Dial system, which allows customers to make their own enclosures for mounting HMI units. The module is a simple and cost-effective wiring solution that has been developed for use with Tego Dial and Tego Power units. It connects half height cards with eight 24Vdc inputs and eight 24Vdc transistor outputs (see Plate 2).

The Tego Dial system has modular plates and facias which build up to custom enclosures for HMI and operator stations. The Tego I/O module matches the Tego base unit, simplifying the wiring installation. Inside the Tego unit, the push buttons and pilot lamps are wired to the Tego Dial terminal base using standard Telefast 20 multi-core cables. The user only has to run two cables from the Tego unit to the PLC. One is a multi-core for all the necessary I/O and the other is a serial connection.

List price of the Tego I/O module is £125.
