VectorMark® compact from Haas Laser, a subsidiary of Trumpf, has been designed for the efficient marking of all kinds of components from semi-conductors to engine blocks. Unlike many of its competitors, VectorMark® employs laser diodes to increase its excitation efficiency. As a result it has outstanding beam quality, shorter processing times, requires less power and less cooling to dissipate the heat applied; VectorMark® compact has integrated vacuum extraction and air cooling.
With VectorMark® metals, plastics and ceramics can be provided with long-lasting and abrasion-proof marking. The easy programming of the laser - via Windows TM 95 and NT-compatible WinMark® - enables serial numbers, texts, barcodes, logos and drawings to be added with ease. Its beam quality also allows it to be used for very fine, filigree marking applications.
The extremely compact dimensions of this diode-pumped marking laser, its low weight and open interface architecture allow it to be easily integrated into production lines. Flexibility is enhanced by its use of single-phase; previous systems required three-phase. The machine is easy to maintain thanks to its modular design. Wearing components such as laser diode modules can be replaced in minutes; no service technician need be called.
The motor-driven z-axis on the VectorMark® compact allows it to be quickly adapted to suit different workpiece heights. Further NC axes are also available as additional options. For the semi-automatic production of medium batch sizes, a two-station rotary transfer table may be supplied with the same compact dimensions.
A further option is a doubled-frequency version of the VectorMark® compact with a wavelength of 532nm. This machine has been especially developed for the marking of plastics, providing shorter processing times and improved contrasts.
