The Adept FlexFeeder 250 is Adept Technology's revolutionary approach to small parts conveyance for assembly, packaging, and material handling. Operating in conjunction with Adept Robots/Adept Cartesians and AdeptVision VXL, the Adept FlexFeeder 250 is another key element of Adept's Rapid Deployment Automation (RDA) strategy. The Adept FlexFeeder 250 offers a leading edge intelligent conveyance system for feeding small parts in random orientation, size, shape, and bulk. This eliminates the need for expensive pallets, palletising operations, and therefore reduces logistics costs. By design, the Adept FlexFeeder 250 has an intelligent control system which re-circulates parts that cannot be retrieved on the first pass. This significantly reduces the downtime caused when parts become jammed in conventional bowl feeders.
Additional benefits include high flexibility for production runs with high mix of parts and short production cycles. The programmable flexibility guarantees the reusability of each assembly cell and decreases total cost of ownership.
This site is well presented and worth a visit.
