Issue 38.1 editorial statement

We would like to wish you a Happy New Year and welcome you to the first issue of the 2015 calendar year, Volume 38, Issue 1 of Policing: An International Journal of Police Strategies & Management. While this issue includes a great diversity of topics relevant to policing that we believe you will find of interest, we would like to focus your attention toward our inaugural “state-of-the-art reviews”. Specifically, in this issue we have included a state-of-the-art review by Donner et al. on “Policing and Procedural Justice” and a state-of-the-art review on “Minority Perceptions of the Police” by J. Peck. We anticipate these reviews serving as templates to guide potentially interested author/s on what we have envisioned and expect for our state-of-the-art reviews.

As always, we at Policing: An International Journal of Police Strategies & Management encourage you to submit your work for publication consideration when you believe it to be a potentially appropriate outlet, and to contact us should you potentially have a topic for a state-of-the-art review that you believe to be of interest to our readership.
