Prospects for the Western Balkans in 2023.

Significance

The summit of the six Western Balkan countries (WB6), held on November 3 under the auspices of the Berlin Process, breathed some life into the German-led initiative from 2014 to boost regional cooperation, along with EU accession hopes. Yet while several important agreements were signed, on the more fundamental question of EU accession, the summit did little more than generate a good mood.
