Significance

An estimated 164,000 Rohingya refugees have crossed the border into Bangladesh since August 25, fleeing violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine state. Over 400,000 already inhabit camps in Bangladesh, while 40,000 Rohingyas are thought to reside in India.
