Saudi Readymix sets the training agenda

Article Type: Notes and news From: Industrial and Commercial Training, Volume 46, Issue 3

Concrete producer and supplier Saudi Readymix has launched a virtual academy, with plans to create a physical location for it soon.

The academy offers training and development programs of all sorts for employees, a scholarship program for students of vocational institutes and a mini-MBA program. All the courses and programs are for high-potential current and future employees.

One scholarship program is in collaboration with the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic (SPSP). The SPSP scholarship program sponsors 24 Saudi candidates to attend the institute and train for two years and then, upon graduating, directly join Saudi Readymix.

The mini-MBA program is offered to 24 employees a year. Eligible high-potential employees of Saudi Readymix may qualify for the six-month, six-module miniature MBA program.

Saudi Readymix has formed a talent-review board to review the eligibility, training and development of trainees, and monitor progress and certification upon completion.

Saudi Readymix employs more than 3,300 people and operates 30 concrete factories, two quarries and three concrete-block factories in Saudi Arabia.
