Abstract
Increasing recognition is being given to the fact that simple solutions to organisational problems are no longer effective in complex environments. Corporations are now acknowledging many advantages in changing from a traditional to new nonātraditional models of organisations. The article considers how an American corporation aimed to remain competitive in a sharply competitive environment, while still retaining its reputation for quality creativity and leadership.
